Its been a while!

Sorry friends! I have been gone for a while due to vacations, moving and then fixing up a disaster of a fixer upper! I promise to get a few pictures up soon of the few projects I have done in the mean time but until then I wanted to tell you a little about another big project I have been working on. Sorry I have been missing a lot lately. Life has been completely crazy with packing, finishing projects, preparing to do a big group sale of coupon organizers for neverpayretailagain.net (if you are interested in getting any organizers at a discount rate, leave a comment and I will get you the details), relearning how to ride a bike, closing on our Ghetto Fab new house today and dealing with crabby children. Crazy stuff, but here are some pics to give you a little more insight into what I have actually accomplished.

This is Macy's birthday quilt that I finally finished piecing and basting together. I started quilting it during nap time the other day but was having serious thread breaking issues so I decided to take a little break from that so I wouldn't throw my machine across the room... Maybe tomorrow I will attempt to take another crack at it. It has been interesting trying to make this quilt entirely during nap times because I haven't wanted Macy to see it at all. Hopefully she will appreciate it when she gets it on her third birthday. I can always count on her saying "Mom, it is sooo cute!" as she does whenever I complete (or start) a project, I love my little cheerleader.

I completed a few more blocks for my quilt along. I was way ahead at one point but now I am just barely breaking even... I guess I know what I should do after bed time tomorrow night.

And I have sold several coupon organizers so I have had to restock my etsy store, which is a fun job that I rarely mind doing :)
That is most of what has been happening around here! I haven't had much motivation to blog because I have been a wee bit overwhelmed with the whole moving into a project house thing (the house is a project- not in the projects) so wish us luck, and if anyone knows how to get some free or cheap house fixing supplies, let me know!

Quilt Along update

Today is day 17 of the quilt along and I realized that I wasn't as far ahead as I hoped to be so I whipped 8 more out this morning. There are also some extras that I am not really a fan of how they turned out. They must have been done on an off day...

Seriously, what was I thinking here? I must have been distracted. (the bunch above)

I am at 22. Not bad but I need to get more ahead. Plus I have a quilt for a quilt swap I need to do this week before I have to pack up my sewing stuff. Plus Macy's Birthday quilt...

My New Line

Presenting my new line that I will be carrying in my etsy store:

These are my new creation, fabric coupon organizers. These are great for any coupon user and especially if you are a Krazy Coupon Lady follower. There are enough pockets to separate your coupons by transactions. They are made out of high quality quilting cotton and are lined with interfacing to keep them sturdy. They are not fabric covered plastic like some other organizers out there. They have a Velcro closure and a decorative button on the outside. I will be adding these to my store all week or you can custom order through etsy or by leaving me a comment. The first is this Doll Quilt with a hand sewn binding. It is great for your little girls to put their babies to bed and to play with. My girls love theirs! Along with that I am offering 30% off any item in my Etsy store.

Cherry Peasant Dress

Check out this incredibly adorable dress I finished for my girls today. It had been sitting in my WIP pile for a couple of weeks and I finally decided to hem it this afternoon. They are pretty close together in size and age so they have been able to share many of the dresses that I make for this. I totally love how it looks! It is available by custom order in my etsy shop!

Sunday Stash #1: Starting Over

I was a major slacker with Sunday Stash on my other blog but hopefully I will do better here.
I bought this at a local quilt shop sale in town last week and I love it. I may do a wallet or a purse out of it, I just haven't decided yet. Any suggestions?

Finally, my friends and relatives that care nothing about my sewing will no longer have to endure those posts and those sewers out there will no longer be subject to video of my children singing off key songs. Here is my new sewing and crafting blog So I can keep the different parts of my life separate.
